Rajma (Kidney Beans)curry

Method

  1. Soak the rajma (kidney beans) overnight.
  2. Pressure cook until soft. Heat oil in a pan, add whole spices, and chopped onion and fry till golden brown.
  3. Add chopped garlic, ginger, and tomato paste.
  4. Fry until oil separates from the mixture.
  5. Add Ferns’ Mild Curry Paste, and sauté for 2 minutes.
  6. Add boiled rajma and salt.
  7. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  8. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  9. Serve with the Indian bread of your choice.

Ingredients

  • 200 g or 1 large cup Rajma/ Kidney beans
  • 4 onions
  • 1 cup tomato paste
  • 2½ teaspoon Ferns’ Mild Curry Paste
  • ½ teaspoon ginger juliennes
  • ½ teaspoon chopped garlic
  • Few sprigs coriander leaves
  • ¼ cup oil
  • 2 sticks cinnamon
  • 2 pods cardamom
  • 2 cloves
  • 2 bay leaves
  • Salt to taste.
